Contact Us / Secure Messaging System

Accessing a secure document is a simple process. There is very little difference between accessing a standard email and a securely encrypted email. This page will provide you with assistance relating to the password registration and maintenance procedures.

If you need additional help, you may refer to the POSTX User Manual or contact the POSTX Support Helpdesk at 1-877-677-4488.

To view the POSTX User Manual, please click on the link below.
POSTX User Manual
Q: What is POSTX?
A: POSTX is the Secure Messaging Tool used by Allstate to encrypt email containing PHI (Private Health Information) traveling to email destinations outside of our corporate firewall. POSTX is being used in order to comply with HIPAA Regulations to protect the privacy of our customers, employees and clients.
Q: How will POSTX impact how I do my job?
A: The use of POSTX will require that you complete a one-time registration process in order to be identified on the Allstate Secure Messaging Server. Completing this one time registration process will allow you to view encrypted email that is sent to you by an Allstate Employee. This process is simple and can be completed in about 3 minutes.
Q: How do I complete the one time Password Registration Process?
A: Upon receiving your first encrypted email, you will be sent an Allstate Secure Message Enrollment email. Within this email is a link. Clicking on that link will direct you through the one time Password Registration Process. If you have a problem you can refer to the User's Guide or contact the Customer Support Helpdesk.
Q: What happens if I forget my Password?
A: Your password is directly tied to the emails that you received during the use of that specific password. If you forget your password any previous emails that you retrieved while using that password will not be available and may have to be re-sent to you. You can save your secure messages to a folder to avoid losing any previously sent emails. For additional information on this topic, please consult the POSTX User's Guide or contact the Customer Support Helpdesk.
